A business blog can target your niche attracting customers interested and excited about the product or service you have to offer.
In a recent interview on personal branding with Dan Schawbel at the Personal Branding Blog, trash TV host Jerry Springer suggested the key to his show's success was targeting only audiences in his particular niche.
While we wouldn't necessarily recommend using Springer's outrageous techniques unless you have an equally outrageous product to promote, blogs can be an integral part of targeting your potential customers no matter what their interest.
A business blog, whether created by you or a hired professional, can:
- Use keywords to attract those interested in your particular product or service. (Notice our use of the key phrase "Business blog" in the first sentence of this post)
- Provide fresh content. Blogs can be updated daily or even more frequently and frequently updated content keeps readers and search engines engaged
- Make it easy to share. Blog posts can be easily linked to and e-mailed to friends or included in someone else's blog, traditional Website or social media site
