The Alliance for Sustainable Communities-Lehigh Valley will celebrate the First International Day of Climate Action in the Lehigh Valley on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009. Businesses, civic associations, governmental bodies, schools, labor unions, environmental organizations, city planners, green builders, energy savers, farmers, and scholars are invited to participate.
Events are as follows:

9 a.m.: “Art Walk for the Climate” begins at Fifth and Hamilton, Allentown, and ends at New Street, Bethlehem.

1 p.m.: World Café action talk hosted by Joris Rosse will be held in Room 605 at Northampton Community College’s Fowler Center, 511 E. Third St., Bethlehem.

7 p.m.: Showing of the film “City 21: Multiple Perspectives of Urban Futures” at Northampton Community College’s Fowler Center will be followed by a talk-back session by award-winning filmmaker Christopher Zelov.
The Alliance for Sustainable Communities-Lehigh Valley works on sustaining and enhancing the quality of life for all citizens.
